The 10 hour Teacher Course is designed for primary and secondary teachers who wish to develop their Welsh language skills and increase their confidence in using Welsh as part of everyday teaching and school life.
Delivered through online self-study learning, the course is divided into Part 1 and Part 2, with each part requiring approximately 10 hours of study. The flexible format allows participants to complete the learning at their own pace and at a time that suits their professional commitments.
The course focuses on practical Welsh language that can be used in the classroom, when giving instructions, interacting with learners, communicating with parents and colleagues, and supporting the wider use of Welsh across the school. It aims to help teachers embed Welsh naturally into their daily practice and act as positive language role models for learners.
