Residential Courses for the Education Sector

These are opportunities to join one of The National Centre for Learning Welsh's residential courses. These residential courses are specifically for the Education Sector, and full details can be found below.

  • To ensure registration on the correct level, a chat on the phone will be required.

  • Accommodation will be a single en-suite room, and full board will be included.

  • The courses are fully funded.

  • There'll be an additional cost of £60 for bed and breakfast if you wish to stay at the Nant on the Sunday night prior to the course.

  • Travel costs are not provided.

  • During the April 2025-March 20206 year, a grant of £150 per day can be offered for supply costs. Attendance must be every day of the course in order for your Local Authority to claim this grant.

This is an opportunity for individuals who work in schools in Wales and are at the start of their language journey to study on a residential course at Canolfan Pentre Ifan in Pembrokeshire.

Entry Level Extended Residential Course for the Education Sector at Nant Gwrtheyrn Language Center.

  • Residential Week 1: 19/1/2026 – 23/1/2026

  • 5 online lessons: dates to be confirmed

  • Residential Week 2: 16/3/2026 – 20/3/2026

The aim of this course is to rapidly increase the skills of new speakers and to give them the confidence to use simple Welsh in their day-to-day work. This will enable them to contribute proactively to the Welsh environment of their schools.

This is a course to refresh your memory before continuing your language journey. This is an opportunity for individuals who work in schools in Wales to study on a residential course at Pentre Ifan, Pembrokeshire.
