(Part 1 & 2) A course for beginners, introducing vocabulary, basic language patterns and everyday phrases. The emphasis is on spoken Welsh.

It usually takes around 2 years to complete a level (i.e. Entry, Foundation etc.) if you attend a class once a week.

It's possible to complete a level in one year on an intensive course (4 hours or more per week) or on a Combined Course where you are expected to complete at least 2 hours of independent online learning before each lesson.

On Accelerated Courses (8 hours per week) it is possible to complete 2 levels in a year.
