Foundation Course Part 1

This course is suitable for individuals who have experience of learning Welsh. This could mean you have studied Entry 1 and 2 at Nant Gwrtheyrn or with Learn Welsh. It is also suitable for individuals studying Foundation 1 with Learn Welsh who wish to revise. For those who haven't had the opportunity to practice Welsh recently, this course is designed to help you regain your Welsh skills with confidence. This course is also ideal for individuals who have studied Welsh as a second language at school or have not used Welsh for some time.
By the end of the course you will be able to use extended sentences and hold longer conversations on a number of different topics.
Learning Welsh at Nant Gwrtheyrn's unique location is a great opportunity for you to experience the Welsh language in a fully immersive environment. We encourage you to use the opportunities we have here on site to extend your skills by using the language, experience Welsh culture and to broaden your horizons as bilingual or multilingual individuals.

Terms
Full Board
The cost for a full board residential course is £615. This will include the course, accommodation and food from Monday to Friday. There will be a night of entertainment on Tuesday night and a trip on Wednesday afternoon.
As you register for the course there will be an option to book accommodation for the Sunday night before the course at an additional cost of £70 (bed and breakfast). We encourage you to book the Sunday evening when registering for the course if that is possible.

Daily
If you don't need accommodation and intend to travel daily, here are the options available:
Residents of Gwynedd and Anglesey: If you live* locally you can come on a course and travel to the Nant every day for a reduced price. The price is £185 for a 5 day course.
*This offer is for individuals who have their main home in Gwynedd or Anglesey.
If your main home is not in Gwynedd or Anglesey the price to travel daily is £356 for a 5 day course.
Your lunch will be included in the daily price and you are welcome to join us for dinner on the Tuesday evening when entertainment has been arranged as long as you let us know in advance. Please note any dietary requirements.

The course will finish at 13:00 on the Friday in order to give everyone enough time to travel home in the afternoon.
