The National Centre for learning Welsh

Creating Welsh speakers who enjoy using the language, by providing a national strategy and services for learning Welsh.

What is the National Centre for Learning Welsh?

The National Centre for Learning Welsh is the national body specializing in the teaching and acquisition of Welsh, and it leads the Learn Welsh sector.

The Centre has created one clear learning pathway to help adults become Welsh speakers, with courses and resources at various levels, from beginners to confident speakers.

More about the Centre’s work

The Centre works with 10 course providers across Wales.

Community courses are available, both face-to-face and virtually, alongside online self-study options.

Extensive schemes are available for workplaces, including the Health and Social Care and Sports sectors.

There is a national learning programme for the Education Workforce, as well as schemes for young people.

A package of services is available for parents and carers, as well as asylum seekers and refugees.
