Croeso! Welcome to the first step on the Dysgu Cymraeg journey for staff within the health and social care sector.

The course contains simple words and greetings for people who are new to the Welsh language and we hope it will ignite your curiosity to learn more.

The Welsh Government’s More than Just Words (Mwy na Geiriau) strategy aims for all health and social care staff to be able to achieve courtesy level of Welsh by 2027.

Using Cymraeg with Welsh speaking service users and their families is really important, and speaking even just a little Welsh - tipyn bach - can make a huge difference.

Welcome to our Welsh taster course for the Health and Social Care sector.

Here, you can learn simple but essential words and phrases to greet and welcome people in Welsh.

The course will develop your confidence in speaking Welsh, and encourage you to learn more.

In addition to this digital course, welcome sessions with a tutor are available in the health boards in Wales.
