Funding secured for second year of Work Welsh
At a special conference to mark the first successful year of Work Welsh, a new scheme to strengthen Welsh language skills in the workplace, Eluned Morgan, Minister for the Welsh Language and Lifelong Learning announced funding had been secured for the project for a second year.
Representatives from both the public and private sectors – including Ceredigion County Council, Hywel Dda Health Board and BT Cymru Wales – attended the event, to discuss the scheme, which offers flexible training for learners at different levels, from beginners to more experienced Welsh speakers.
Already, over 4,000 workers across Wales have received training through the scheme, which includes intensive courses, residential courses and a pioneering 10-hour online Welsh course.
