Looking forward to Urdd Eisteddfod in Bridgend

Looking forward to Urdd Eisteddfod in Bridgend

The National Centre for Learning Welsh is looking forward to a week of fun-filled competitions and festivities at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Bridgend.

We’ll have a stand in the main entrance with plenty of information about Welsh courses and activities in the Bridgend area and further afield. There’ll also be a competition with a chance to win a free Welsh course.

There’ll be a full programme of activities in the Cwtsh, the Welsh learners’ tent on the Eisteddfod ‘maes.’  Come and meet staff and Welsh learners from the area, who’ll be serving light refreshments.

On Tuesday at 12.00pm, join broadcaster Lucy Owen for the launch of a new partnership between the Centre and Welsh-language nursery movement, Mudiad Meithrin. The aim of the scheme is to attract more families to learn Welsh. Free Welsh language taster sessions will also be held.

Also on Tuesday, at 1.00pm, in the company of the Minister for Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language, Alun Davies AM, the Centre is launching a new partnership with the digital language learning platform, Duolingo.

If you’re watching the Eisteddfod competitions at home, don’t forget to keep an eye out for our TV commercial, which will be broadcast on S4C throughout the week.

Dewch am dro i ddweud helo - we look forward to seeing you in Bridgend!
