Welsh Language Music Day

Celebrating Welsh language music with 'Dydd Miwsig Cymru'

Welsh learners across Wales are celebrating 'Dydd Miwsig Cymru' - Welsh Language Music Day - today (8 February).

A radio programme presented by learners will be broadcast on Cymru.FM at 1.00pm and on BBC Radio Cymru 2 at 2.00pm. Welsh tutors and learners have also come together to sing a well-known song by group Maharishi, 'Tŷ ar y Mynydd', in a special video (above).

Welsh Language Music Day celebrates all kinds of Welsh language music. Whether you’re into indie, rock, punk, funk, folk, electronica, hip hop or anything else, there’s incredible music being made in the Welsh language for you to discover. Learn more about Welsh Language Music Day here
