Welsh at Home: An Introduction

This 'Welsh at Home: An Introduction' resource is specifically for parents and families to offer you support whilst choosing Welsh medium or bilingual education for your children. There are three parts to the resource:

1) Video clips of non Welsh speaking parents talking about their experiences choosing Welsh medium education for their children; as well as video clips of headteachers explaining the support that's available for parents and families who don't speak Welsh.

2) The second section is an introduction to several cultural elements, so that you can learn about them and know where to find further information. This section includes elements such as the Eisteddfod, St David's Day, and information about Welsh magazines and books for children, amongst many other useful things.

3) The third section introduces some vocabulary and simple phrases that will be useful in relation to school life, so that families can learn and understand some useful Welsh terminology.
