Mynediad (Entry)

Entry Course – Part 1 & 2 A course for beginners, introducing vocabulary, basic language patterns and everyday phrases. The emphasis is on spoken Welsh. The course is designed to enable the learners to use basic phrases in both the present and past tense very early on in the course so that learners are able to converse in the classroom without the use of English after only a few weeks. Part 1 & 2 covers: • Ask for and give basic personal information • Ask for and give basic personal information about others • Pronounce words correctly • Talk about interests • Talk about possessions and family • Talk about the time • Discuss ownership • Discuss illness • Talk and write using the past • Give commands • Ask for and give permission, express a need and discuss prices • Read and understand personal information • Write and discuss personal information • Understand the structures of Welsh at a basic level At the end of this course learners can sit the WJEC Mynediad (Entry) level examination. This course follows the brand new book created by the National Centre for Learning Welsh. These are available on-line or in all good bookshops.
