The Education Workforce

Croeso – welcome!

If you work in the education sector in Wales, there’s a great choice of Welsh courses for you.

You can sign up for the National Sabbatical Scheme with either Cardiff University, Bangor University or University of Wales Trinity Saint David, or follow brand new online self-study courses - tailored for the education workforce and available at five learning levels - in your own time and at your own pace.

These courses are fully-funded, and from September 2022 you’ll also be able to follow community-based courses with the National Centre for Learning Welsh, free of charge.

Courses, which are held in virtual and face-to-face classes, are also taught at the five learning levels, so whether you’re a beginner or already speak some Welsh, there’ll be a course for you.

Click here to visit the new online education workforce portal, which details all sorts of learning opportunities.

In the meantime, you can try our free, online taster courses, also tailored for the education workforce, which introduce relevant words and phrases.

Information on other ways to enjoy your Welsh is available here, and remember to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
